Sharp CE-152 Chassis

After removing the Sharp CE-152 printed circuit board, the metal chassis became clearly visible. There are some plastic cogwheels however most of the components are metal, which is one of the reasons why this tape recorder has lasted so long.

Metal Pushbutton Assembly

This shows the small metal springs, which are part of the push-button mechanism. This unit is small yet very well constructed.

Cogwheels and Drive

The secondary drive belt powers the take-up spool and the fast forward and rewind functions.
