Sharp CE-152 – Original Condition
The CE-152 arrived in a horrid state, it had address labels stuck all over it, and the previous owner had written on the plastic case as well. Many people would have thrown it away, however I am someone who likes to renovate old electronic equipment. Since this tape recorder is from the 1980s, and there are not very many around, it was worth the effort. The glue on the address labels was strong and the only way to remove it was by soaking the case in water. I therefore, dismantled the unit removing the circuit board and loudspeaker. I simply left the plastic case in a bucket of hot water and let the water do all the work for me. In the morning, the labels had come off and were floating on the top.
